Why Flash Live Media?

Background: Christ for all Nations (CfaN) is an international ministry that holds large faith-building events in some of the worst poverty stricken areas in the world. The events are very dramatic and they saw the need to broadcast these events to their partners all around the world.

Key Obsetecles: Event sites do not support the technology to stream a webcast. Must deliver a worldwide streaming solution so everyone can watch. Viewer must see content according to their office's choice of promotions.

Brief Solutions: Run the webcast from the USA by beaming the video signal from remote location to the webcast site (CfaN Headquarters). Run event production from 4,000 miles away. Use FLM CDN to distribute stream worldwide. Specialize player to push ads only relevant to each office.

Types of Streaming: Live & On-Demand Worldwide Streaming Solution

View Demo - CfaN Video Player
Flash Live Media offers the most customized video players available on the internet today. CfaN wanted a clean interface that also signifies their out reach to the world to help people find God. We created an interface for them with a seamlessly looping logo with a rotating earth. The video player is to also host all their future content so the UI needed to remain somewhat generic yet, still maintain a CfaN look and feel.
CfaN wanted to be able to offer the bets quality video to their users without a fullscreen option so people would not overlook the interactive ads in the player. CfaN videos are offered in H.264 technology for HD streaming over the internet at the most efficient use of bandwidth. The player is flexible enough to even add new features as they came available, like multi-stream rates per video to ensure all users and getting the most out of their internet connection. To enable CfaN to engage in multi-casting and segmented video ads the player also has an interactive and changeable video screen that can switch to different video streams in mid-play and it also accepts "click to act" ads that allow the host to say "click on the screen now" and the screen becomes interactive notifying the user that they can now click on the screen to do something.
The CfaN Media Player needed to provide the infrastructure to do both live and achieved streaming. To achieve this, the player has dual functionality based on the type of footage being played. On the live version of the functionality it supports a custom feed for live video production. This enables the player to have a satellite video feed from remote location to CfaN headquarters in Florida. From there we then created a professionally produced broadcast and then stream the final product out to the users. The final product was a professionally produced event streaming to users all over the world, even though the only thing coming out of Nigeria was a raw camera feed.
All Flash Live Media video players have the ability to be completely customized. Every event is different so have all our clients tell us what features to control video should be available to users, and they also have complete control over how these controls look. Our players support play, mute, pause, seek, chapters, buffer bars, seek bars, fast-forward, rewind, live feed, custom time, total time, ad markers and much more.
Since video content could change without reloading the player we had to make all the video's content dynamic. CfaN wanted to give strong background on what the users were watching so we implemented a large zone of the video player for content descriptions.
CfaN's partners are usually a viral effect, meaning through word of mouth they find out about CfaN's works, so it was important to have some features that allowed the users to let friends know about the live webcast so they could watch too. Live webcasts are free for CfaN but users still need to register. We have a simple way for users to refer friends to the content they are watching, all from the video player screen.
CfaN has an international donor base that speak a verity of languages and can live in very remote locations, so to handle this process there are 12 branches of the CfaN site pertaining to 8 different offices. These offices handle the multi languages of the region and shipping methods. In order for donors to take action they have to click on the proper links relating to their website. Our video player allows CfaN to have 12 different versions of the CfaN cast based on languages and availability of products depending on the part of the world the user was located. These were all ran from 1 data feed during live casts allowing easy management of the cast despite its complexity.
In order to properly show the user related content to their office and to allow them to make secure donations we created a login system on the video player so the media player can access their information for quicker donations. CfaN also wanted users to be able to get to the player as easy as possible, so we also enabled an auto login feature available to be triggered from an e-mail sent by CfaN. With this special e-mail users can just click the link and go right into the webcast as a verified user.
CfaN needed a way to engage donors without disrupting them from the video content. Flash Live Media created them a solution where they can push Flash ads, registration, and donation forms right into the player whenever the time was right for each ad. Our solution works with both Live and On-Demand video.
CfaN needed to collect secure donations right from the video player so the users would participate during the webcast without having to leave the cast to do it. The CfaN Media Player supports donation forms of all kinds, as well as free registration for products and services. Its not just form friendly either, it supports other video, flash ads, extra content descriptions, ads, and anything else CfaN wishes to display to its user base. This content is also personalized to the users location, they will receive data based off 1 of 12 different data feeds at any given time.
CfaN needed a way to track response for products, ads, and clicks. We created a tracking system for them that recorded all the actions taken by each user during the webcast so they knew not only how many but who was interested in what, We also created them a control panel to view the results with easy to read generated graphs and charts.
The video player has two modes to act under; live and on-demand. For the on-demand features to work we built a selection menu where the play pulled a dynamic playlist that categorized each video based on the type of event. Once the user selected a category they could then see a preview of the video they are about the select.
Once a category is selected the user then can see a preview of the video they are about to select. Each video has its own thumbnail and description so the user knows what they are about to watch before they activate the video. There is then a button where the user can click on to activate the stream. This button sets off a chain of events to specialize the content to the user and the new video.
